Element’s European Team: Get Busy Living

Remember Debacle last summer? Well Element skateboards just dropped their own version of it, Get Busy Living. Meet the Element European team,


Michael Mackrodt, Madars Apse, Phil Zwijsen, Guillaume Mocquin, Pirkka Pollari and also featuring Bas Janssen, Jo Lorenz, Ruben Rodrigues, Janne Saario, Alex Amor, Jarne Verbruggen, Ross McGouran and Nassim Guammaz.


Now personally I have never heard of these fine young lads, but I sure wish I had known about them sooner, they absolutely slay it. Not only that, but you, kind reader, have the pleasure of viewing them in High Definition. Get Busy Living is just shy of half an hour and it is available for your viewing pleasure free of charge on the Element website. However, as an added bonus, it will be available for download on July 16th, so mark your calenders. With this fine display of skateboarding from the European Element team as well as the unforgettable Adidas European Team Video, Diagonal, I believe that the European invasion of skateboarding is imminent. Watch out for those European skaters because they are definitely packing some serious heat in their bags of tricks.

[Skateboarding] Omar Salazar signature shoe from Nike

Omar Salazar’s first signature shoe from Nike SB has dropped and it’s a doozy.  This clean little space boot has all of the amenities of current technology, as well as some from 2001:  A Space Odyssey . . . wait, now my brain just hurts.

The Salazar, for all intents and purposes, looks beefy enough to withstand just about anything you can throw at it.  An extra large stash pocket (think old Muska shoe stash pockets) enable you to conceal whatever prized goods you may be toting, and the lightweight cupsole melds with Nike’s foam and phylon footbeds for a bouncy, comfortable step.   The shoe may not look as appealing on the shelf, but ultimately, once you get it on, it’s comfortable and looks pretty aces under some jeans.

The word on the street is that Omar has been absolutely annihilating stuff in his new kicks, and Nike recently released a mini-site devoted entirely to the space-age footwear.  For those of you who are dying to try a pair, SkateDaily will be giving away 5 free pairs in their latest contest.  Follow the link for more details:  [SkateDaily]
