This is the second time that Blood Red Shoes have graced “track of the day”.  “Light it up” is the newest single/marketing fodder as the Shoes make a big push in the states in 2010.  The track really takes me back to some 90′s rock with lots of low-end, yelling choruses and drudgery.

I’m not entirely sure how the States will receive Blood Red Shoes, but their singles seem to get more mainstream by the day.

Blood Red Shoes has just released a FREE DOWNLOAD of their single, “Colours Fade”, via their website.  Blood Red Shoes undoubtedly pays homage to the brit-fuzz gods and this epic, 7-minute track brings elements of Oasis, The Doves and Muse into their sprawling arena.

The formula is nothing new, but that isn’t a bad thing as the progressions work to a T.  Female vocals intertwine with coarse tapestry of fuzz.  If this single is just a taste of what the new album will sound like, we are anxiously awaiting the angst, the noir and the 60′ lounge ambiance behind walls of modern noise.
