Phoenix and Vincent Moon Take It To The Streets Of Paris

Equip with two acoustic guitars, a keyboard, and a voice, Phoenix went to Paris where they played and filmed four songs.  The idea to film on the streets of Paris was an idea thought of by filmmaker Vincent Moon and the band. Vincent Moon explains the idea, “And then we thought about this funny video the band posted on July 14th on their blog, where they play “1901″ with an awful iChat wallpaper as a background. Eh, why don’t we do it again, but for real this time ?”

Vincent Moon is the filmmaker that runs La Blogotheque’s “Take Away Shows”.  For this shoot he used a Panasonic P2 HDV 200 and filmed the band in a voyeur style in different settings, including on top of a bus.

Vincent has filmed other bands such as Fleet Foxes, Animal Collective, Bon Iver, Foals, and Bloc Party. All of these are available to view on “The Take Away Shows” website. Or you can view them in HD on their Vimeo page.
